OXFORD, ENGLAND: RS Components has signed a new European distribution deal with Bourns AG for distribution of Bourns products within Europe. Under the new agreement RS will add more than 1,500 new Bourns products to its stock profile including a full range of circuit protection devices, trimmers, potentiometers, encoders and further resistive and inductive products.
Commenting on the deal, Chris Page, GM, Electronics at RS said: “Bourns is one of the world's premier Passives and Circuit Protection component suppliers and we are delighted to be expanding our relationship with them. Through this new distribution agreement will now be able to bring new to market products and support materials to our customers much more quickly.”
Ferdinand Leicher, VP of Sales, Europe at Bourns continued: “RS has always had an excellent reputation as a dependable supplier. Their continued investment in their advanced online design support tools has given them a great competitive position. Formalising our relationship with RS will enable us to work more closely with them and co-operate on a number of innovative marketing initiatives.”
RS will represent the Bourns range by giving special emphasis to their full range of circuit protection products, which include, Chip Guard ESD protection devices, Multifuse PPTC’s, Thyristor surge protectors, Metal oxide varistors, TVS diodes and arrays, TBU high speed protectors and gas discharge tubes.
In addition, RS will be significantly increasing its stock holding of existing Bourns products including, trimmers, potmeters, specialty resistors and power inductors.
