Arrow signs distribution agreement with Janus

MELVILLE, USA: Arrow Electronics Inc. has signed a distribution agreement with Janus Remote Communications, a leader in Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications. Janus provides cellular-enabled devices for data acquisition and telemetry, asset tracking, facility and equipment monitoring, smart utilities and security applications.

Under the new agreement, Arrow will distribute Janus Terminus platform devices in the Americas regions. The Terminus platform encompasses cellular communication terminals from simple telemetry devices through intelligent control terminals, in a wide array of package options. Incorporating a variety of different communications modems from their partner company, Telit Wireless Solutions, Janus offers their customers a variety of paths to integrate wireless technology into both new and existing applications.

“The Janus Terminus platform provides a quick-and-easy solution to cellular enablement, with little to no hardware design effort,” said David West, vice president of supplier marketing and asset for Arrow Electronics. “Our customers now have access to a simplified transition to an embedded cellular module design using Telit, with minimal software changes to the embedded firmware or the end application.”

“Combining our products with Arrow’s demand-creation activities in the M2M space will give our customers the competitive edge in their respective market segments,” said Dave Jahr, general manager of Janus Remote Communications.
