Digi-Key now offers NXP's CMOS multiplexer/demultiplexer

THIEF RIVER FALLS, USA: Digi-Key Corp. announced the addition of NXP’s CMOS 2-to-1 multiplexer/demultiplexer switch for PCI Express Generation 3 (Gen3). The part number for this device is CBTL02043.

This particular multiplexer/demultiplexer can switch two different signals to one of two locations, and is the industry’s first 10 Gbps switch. By utilizing a unique design technique, NXP has minimized the impedance of the switch resulting in negligible attenuation. Minimization of channel-to-channel skew and channel-to-channel crosstalk is also observed.

Benefits of this product include high-speed signal switching, high bandwidth, and low insertion loss, as well as a shutdown pin for power-saving mode offering a standby current of less than 1µA.
