National Hardware Show 2013, USA: Rambus Inc. has expanded its LED bulb product portfolio to include both PAR30 and BR30 bulbs.
Like the previously introduced Rambus A19 bulb, the two new products are built on the company’s MicroLens optical technology, provide excellent energy efficiency and broad dimmer compatability, and are designed to provide highly effective thermal management.
The new Rambus PAR30 (65-watt equivalent) and BR30 (75-watt equivalent) LED bulbs are designed to address the energy efficiency, reduced glare and lighting experience needs of consumers, property managers, retailers, lighting designers, and specifiers across a wide range of indoor and outdoor lighting applications.
“The LED market is experiencing record growth as consumer and professional demand for energy-efficient products continues to rise and new innovations improve the performance, cost and overall value of LED-based products,” said Jeffery Parker, president of the Rambus Lighting and Display Technology business.
“Rambus is at the forefront of LED bulb innovation with our optical technologies, significantly improving light distribution, performance, and overall product lifetime.”
The Rambus PAR30 and BR30 LED bulbs exceed lumen output specified by Energy Star. In addition, the superior micro-electronics improve dimmability and provide a better lighting experience. The full portfolio of Rambus LED bulbs are currently available for commercial orders, with shipments expected to start by the third quarter of this year.
The Elite Group will promote and sell the Rambus LED bulb portfolio to retail markets within North America, including the broad range of major retail customers already working with Elite.
