Amphenol RF's high density BNC solution in stock at Newark/element14

CHICAGO, USA: Newark/element14, a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor in the Americas, and a business of global Premier Farnell, announced that it was stocking the HD-BNC, the newest line of RF connectors from Amphenol RF. The HD-BNC enables design engineers to fit more connectors into a smaller space without compromising true 75 ohm performance.

The HD-BNC series can be configured with a centerline spacing of 8mm minimum, in comparison to the standard BNC at 15.5. This enables 400 percent density improvements and a 250% improvement over the standard 1.0/2.3 Din. Not only does the series meet the specifications of a BNC, it meets or exceeds all SMPTE requirements.

"The HD-BNC delivers what the broadcast industry is demanding for next-generation systems: a superior high density interconnect solution that does not compromise on the robustness and familiar user experience that BNC has provided for so many years," said Owen Barthelmes, director of Engineering, Amphenol RF.

"This new technology from Amphenol RF allows our broadcast, telecommunications and other industry customers to have some of the highest quality, highest density designs for their applications, said Jeff Uden, senior VP, Product Management, Newark/element14. "This is a great addition to our connector line, which is one of the broadest and deepest in the industry."
