BANNOCKBURN, USA: Heralding two exhibit floors at its new home in the San Diego Convention Center, one of which is already completely sold out, IPC APEX EXPO and its 2012 exhibitors are relishing in the sunshine of the show’s move to San Diego, February 28-March 1, 2012.
“Along with our solid base of renewing companies, it’s exciting to have first-time exhibitors like Yamaha Motor Company, Semblant, and Advanced Electronic Technology HK join us as well as companies like Fancort and Tamura H.A. that are returning after a much too long hiatus,” extolls Mary Mac Kinnon, IPC director of trade show sales.
Additional companies making a comeback to IPC APEX EXPO include Aven, Polar Instruments, Hisco, Insulectro, Virtual Industries, and Toshi Technology. Other new exhibitors include JDTech Solutions, Q1 Test, Spindle Dynamics, and printed board manufacturer, Printed Circuit Girls and Geeks.
The 2012 exhibit space will encompass two levels of the San Diego Convention Center, totaling 120,000 square feet. The ground level exhibit hall sold out recently. The exhibit hall is currently 93 percent sold with expectations to sell out in the coming weeks. As Mac Kinnon points out, “We have room to grow at this beautiful venue, so we won’t hesitate to expand our space to accommodate our exhibitors and make attendees as comfortable as possible.”
Part of the growth on the show floor comes from the new Printed Electronics area, which will have a dedicated space on the show floor. A special technical conference track on printed electronics will complement the new area and help meet the growing demand for credible information in this burgeoning area of technology.
The IPC APEX EXPO 2012 show floor will also feature a New Product Zone, the first-ever IPC APEX EXPO Hand Soldering Competition and an expanded, two-hour show floor reception on Wednesday to give attendees more time to network with the growing list of exhibitors.
“Show after show, our exhibitors have come to count on IPC APEX EXPO to provide a truly unique experience with unparalleled opportunities to reach out to a qualified international audience of industry executives in PCB manufacturing and electronics assembly worldwide,” says Mac Kinnon.
“The quality of the attendees at IPC APEX EXPO leaves a lasting impression of this premier event with exhibitors, and they know that this is the ideal forum for debuting their new products and equipment.” Last year, 80 percent of participants surveyed indicated their primary reason for attending was to view new products and find new suppliers.
