Antenova announces DATANOVA 4G nine-band global LTE mobile broadband antenna

CAMBRIDGE, UK: Antenova Ltd, the integrated antenna and RF solutions company, announced its new DATANOVA 4G high performance nine-band antenna with LTE and GPS for the new generation of lightweight notebooks and netbooks.

Antenova’s full diversity DATANOVA 4G nine-band antenna covers LTE bands 4, 7, 13 and 17, and provides 3G cellular and WWAN, convenient next-generation WiMAX and Wi-Fi connectivity plus embedded GPS for location aware applications.

“With 64 operators already committed to LTE network deployments in 31 countries, many of our Tier 1 notebook vendors are gearing up for LTE rollouts,” stated Greg McCray, CEO of Antenova.

“DATANOVA 4G is the latest addition to our successful range of multi-band mobile broadband antennas and part of Antenova’s expanding range of LTE and WiMAX antenna solutions for 4G mobile devices. DATANOVA 4G is the ideal solution for notebook and netbook vendors wanting to offer the widest range of cellular, mobile broadband and wireless connectivity features in small, lightweight portable devices. With the inclusion of GPS in a single antenna structure, users can experience and enjoy the growing range of location based services and applications.”

DATANOVA 4G is a custom mobile broadband antenna which covers LTE, 3G, CDMA/GSM, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, UWB and GPS. Like the other DATANOVA mobile broadband antennae, it can cover all or as many of the bands and provides the widest choice of wireless broadband connectivity options while providing superior performance.

DATANOVA antennae provide manufacturers the ultimate in embedded wireless connectivity by eliminating the need for exposed or unsightly external antennae and come in small volume, low profile form factors - down to 0.8mm in width (width of a pcb) for ultra thin and lightweight notebooks and netbooks.

DATANOVA antennae can be found in mobile broadband enabled notebook computers and netbooks from leading vendors worldwide, including the Dell Adamo XPS – the world’s thinnest notebook at only 9.99mm in height/thickness.
