element14's latest microsite sets a new milestone in partnership with rebranded TE Connectivity

SINGAPORE: element14 (formerly Farnell), the industry’s first fusion of commerce and community supporting engineers and purchasing professionals worldwide, announced the launch of a new dedicated website which marks a significant milestone in their partnership with TE Connectivity, a leader in connectivity solutions.

Customers will be able to have immediate access to a significantly broader range of products on this website, reflecting one of the main propositions that TE Connectivity, formerly Tyco Electronics, aims to achieve after its recent rebranding.

"The launch of this microsite marks a new phase in our partnership with TE Connectivity, strengthening our commitment to bring high performance solutions to our customers," says William Chong, regional director of Supplier Marketing, element14, Asia Pacific. "In addition, customers can also access feature videos, technical application papers and a comprehensive suite of design tools on the element14 online platform which provide them with unparalleled convenience, increased productivity and reduced time to market."

Widest selection of components of TE Connectivity products in Asia Pacific
element14 has, stocked in its regional inventory, the widest range of communication and industrial solutions, circuit protection and relay products including passives, cables, wires and assemblies from TE Connectivity. Customers will be able to browse and purchase 1,000 new products from among the 26,000 TE Connectivity components that are applicable for a number of growing sectors in the Asia Pacific, including automotive, consumer electronics, communications, industrial solutions and medical equipment industries.

For the circuit protection segment, an expansive range of reliable and durable protection solutions is presented, such as the TE Connectivity's SESD series which help protect electronic circuits against damage from electrostatic discharge events. The size of the SESD devices' miniature footprint is about 70 percent smaller than prior-generation devices, offering engineers flexibility in space constrained applications. The components are also designed to help protect very-high-speed data lines, such as USB and HDMI, or low-voltage antenna ports.

Relay products such as signal and RF, PCB and power as well as industrial relay solutions are available too. TE Connectivity's IM Series are streamlined, low profile components suitable for applications with limited board space. These components feature low coil power consumption which allows their use in more intricate electronic designs, and the high dielectric and high mechanical shock resistance allows these products to be deployed in applications with extreme conditions such as the telecommunication, optical network, industrial control and automotive sectors.

TE Connectivity’s latest LCEDI connectors series feature proprietary technology that enables seamless interconnection between notebook LCD panels and main processor boards through micro coax cable at speeds of 2.7Gbps, maximising the speed of the transmissions for electronics such as notebook and tablets.
