IRVINE, USA: Newport Corp. announced that tomorrow, Tuesday, October 4, 2011, the company will close its previously announced acquisition of Ophir Optronics Ltd, a global leader in precision infrared optics, photonics instrumentation and three-dimensional non-contact measurement equipment.
President and CEO, Robert J. Phillippy and senior VP and CFO Charles F. Cargile will host an investor conference call at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time (1:00 p.m. Pacific time) to discuss the terms of the closing and plans for Ophir's integration with Newport.
