CAMPBELL, USA: iWatt Inc., a developer of energy-efficient digital power supply control integrated circuits (ICs) used in leading-edge power supplies, has shipped one billion units of its ICs to customers worldwide.
This milestone is the result of iWatt’s strong position in ICs for smart phone and media tablet power adapters, SSL LED lighting and LED-backlit LCDTVs.
The company has a history of innovation, earning 44 patents with 58 more pending. Many of these patents relate to the company’s proprietary digital techniques that enable compact, low-component-count, energy-efficient and cost-effective power supplies, as well as flicker-free dimming in SSL LED lighting applications.
