FREMONT, USA: Intematix, a leading innovator of patented phosphors and phosphor components for high-quality LED lighting, was named the number one phosphor supplier in China in 2011, according to respected LED market research company Gaogong LED.

Intematix was also named one of the seven most recognizable LED lighting brands by the China National Semiconductor Lighting Association, alongside some of the largest global component and production equipment brands in the LED industry. These accolades highlight Intematix’s position as the top phosphor company in China.

“Intematix has built its phosphor leadership in the Chinese LED market by offering extensive product choice and working closely with our customers,” said Yiqun Li, CTO and executive VP at Intematix. “We look forward to 2012 as the LED market in China continues to grow.”

According to Gaogong’s statistics, China produced 32 billion yuan ($5.1 billion) in packaged LEDs in 2011, more than a third of the global total and at an annual growth rate of 18 percent.

Intematix has expanded its diverse product offering in the last year with 14 new phosphor products and its remote phosphor product line, ChromaLit. Intematix supplies many of China’s leading manufacturers, and its global production and certified quality system enabled its significant market share.

Intematix opened its new 124,000 square foot facility in Suzhou, China, significantly increasing the company’s Chinese manufacturing presence, and Intematix’s Shenzhen-based office helped strengthen its reputation in China by providing comprehensive sales and applications support to customers. As China continues to grow as an LED manufacturing and applications powerhouse, Intematix has positioned itself to great advantage.
