Mouser arms designers with latest ARM Cortex-M4 Stellaris MCUs from TI

TAIWAN: Mouser Electronics Inc., regarded as a top design engineering resource and global distributor for semiconductors and electronic components, today announced it is stocking the Texas Instruments LM4F230 ARM Cortex-M4 Stellaris MCUs, as well as the LM4F232 evaluation kit.

The ARM Cortex-M4 processor is the latest embedded processor by ARM and addresses digital signal control for efficient, easy-to-use control and added capabilities.

Texas Instruments LM4F230 series ARM Cortex-M4 Microcontrollers (MCUs) are Stellaris devices featuring Advanced Motion Control which include six fault inputs to promote low-latency shutdown, two Quadrature Encoder Inputs (QEI), and a total of 16 advanced PWM outputs for motion and energy applications.

The TI LM4F230 family also integrates a variety of peripherals, including UARTs, I²C, SSI/SPI and CAN controllers, along with two 12-bit analog to digital converters with a total of 24 analog inputs and motion control functions. These Stellaris M-4 MCUs are targeted for motion control and a variety of industrial applications, such as factory automation, power and energy, fire and security, HVAC and building control, and medical instrumentation.
