Monnit releases new line of industrial wireless sensors

KAYSVILLE, USA: Monnit Corp. introduced a new line of industrial wireless sensors, available for immediate release. The new industrial sensors are robust and weatherproof. Using NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4x, 12 and 13 rated, sealed enclosures, these new devices are UL listed to UL508-4x specifications.

"Monnit has taken the lead in providing robust commercial sensors and have expanded our offering to the industrial sector because of market demands. These are robust products that address the needs of our ever-growing customer base,” said Brad Walters, CEO.

Monnit customers now have the ability to use wireless sensors in more extreme environments, such as outdoors, shipping docks, warehouses and mechanical (industrial) plants. The ability to use wireless sensors in these areas provides a tremendous cost savings to alternative (wired) methods. Provided in a robust, sealed enclosure, the electronics are protected against dust, light and water. These new sensors are sealed watertight (weatherproof), meeting NEMA ratings that the device must be able to exclude at least 65 GPM of water from a 1-inch nozzle delivered from a distance not less than 10 feet for five minutes.

The new industrial sensors complement's Monnit’s existing line of wireless sensors, which are designed to detect and monitor conditions that are critical to businesses, including: temperature, water, humidity, light, motion, movement, distress and much more. Monnit’s sensors communicate to wireless gateways which aggregate the sensors data and forward it on to the iMonnit online data monitoring system, which records sensor information and sends notifications via text or email if user defined conditions are met or exceeded.
