Pickering Interfaces launches 60-511 low thermal EMF 56x33 EMR matrix

CLACTON-ON-SEA, UK: Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of customer focused LXI switch matrices with the introduction of the 60-511 Low Thermal EMF 56x33 EMR (Electromechanical Relay) Matrix.

The 60-511 provides a compact solution for applications requiring low thermal EMF errors for data acquisition and low voltage measurements. Careful attention to the design of the 60-511 has led to a thermal EMF of typically less than 1.5µV. The 60-511 is implemented in a compact 2U rack mountable enclosure.

The 60-511 user connections are provided by commercially available 25 way and 37 way D Type connectors which are fully supported by the range of Pickering Interfaces cable and connector accessories, further simplifying customer integration requirements. The 60-511 is pin compatible with the Pickering Interfaces 60-510 low thermal EMF reed relay matrix.

The 60-511 has several advantages over the established 60-510, offering improved low thermal EMF performance & higher switching capacity at a significantly lower price.

Pickering Interfaces intros high density LXI 2 pole matrices

CLACTON ON SEA, UK: Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of customer focused LXI switch matrices with the introduction of the 60-555 high density 512x8 2-pole EMR (electromechanical relay) Matrix and 60-556 high density 512x4 2-pole EMR Matrix.

The 60-555 and 60-556 provide a compact solution for applications requiring 8 Y and 4Y axis connections and 2 pole switching. The new LXI matrices occupy just 1U of a rack height in a test system.

With a 2A current rating and a voltage rating 300Vdc/250VAC the matrix is capable of handling the most commonly encountered signals in ATE systems. The X axis dimension can be selected from a range of 6 versions offering sizes from, 192 to 512 for each model.

The 60-555/6 user connections are provided by 160 pin DIN41612 plugs which are fully supported by the range of Pickering Interfaces cable and connector accessories, further simplifying customer integration requirements.

The product expands the range of 60-550 series matrices from Pickering Interfaces that feature x4 to x64 Y axis dimensions by adding 2 pole switching options to the range.

Pickering Interfaces intros PXI digital I/O module

CLACTON ON SEA, UK: Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI products with the introduction of new high performance Digital I/O module.

The 40-413 is a 32 channel Digital I/O module with high current outputs and dual threshold voltage inputs available in three different modules. Typical applications will be found in military, aerospace and automotive function test systems.

The 40-413-001 provides 32 high side output drivers each capable of sourcing up to 2A from an external power supply. The 40-413-002 provides 32 low side drivers each capable of sinking up to 2A to ground. The 40-413-003 includes both high and low side drivers, allowing users the flexibility of supporting systems with mixed configurations where a mixture of high and low side drivers is required or different systems with both types of drive requirements.

Each output is capable of working with 40V power loads and is fully protected against over voltage spikes from inductive loads and short circuits from defective loads. Each output includes thermal protection to automatically shut the driver down when connected to a faulty load.

All models have 32 digital input channels which can compared to two user programmable threshold voltages that make it simple to check that the external inputs are high, low or intermediate voltages. Each input can withstand voltages to greater than 100V. The two variable threshold voltages can be set from 0.3V to 50V with nominally 12.5 mV resolution, allowing the 40-413 to work with all commonly found high voltage I/O applications.
