USA: Larson Electronics has announced the addition of a powerful new LED spotlight capable of operating with either common 120 volt AC current or the 12/24 volt currently typically available from vehicles and boats. The PML-90LED-DP-120 90 Watt LED Spotlight features IP68 rated waterproof construction, heavy duty aluminum construction, and the ability to operate from a wide variety of voltages both AC and DC.
The Larson Electronics PML-90LED-DP-120 90 Watt LED Spotlight provides professionals in demanding environments with a highly versatile and powerful source of intense focused light output. This powerful LED spotlight features a heavy duty aluminum housing with polycarbonate lenses and control handle for extreme durability.
The housing is IP68 rated waterproof to three meters of submersion, making it impervious to the effects of splashing water, driving rain, and high humidity. Mounting of the light is through a heavy gauge steel mounting plate with tensioned hinge assembly for secure and stable placement on flat surfaces. A single polycarbonate handle provides easy manipulation and the tensioned hinge allows the operator to adjust the lamp as needed, and then holds it in position once released without the need for lock screws or pins.
Power for this LED spotlight is supplied through an included inline transformer that allows operators to run the light with standard 120 to 277 VAC current. Operators can also disconnect the transformer and run the light directly from sources of 12 or 24 volt DC current such as car or truck electrical systems for added versatility. This LED light contains nine ten watt LEDs and produces a light beam over 2,000 feet long in spotlight configuration.
Buyers can also choose an optional floodlight configuration to produce a beam approximately 1200 feet long by 450 feet wide for more dispersed illumination over a wider area. This is a heavy duty spotlight intended for use in demanding conditions and is a popular choice among military and law enforcement professionals as well as personnel in the security industry.
"The PML-90LED-DP-120 LED light with swivel mount control base is designed as an alternative to larger security lights," said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com. "Operators can run this light for a low voltage 12/24VDC power source, like a vehicle, or they can power it from 120/277VAC standard grid power. This flexible power source operation and position-able light beam make this light very useful for any operator looking to identify issues at a distance."
Larson Electronics manufactures an extensive line of portable work lights, hazardous location lights, infrared LED lights, LED spotlights, and portable LED work lights.
