SINGAPORE: element14 (formerly Farnell), the first electronic component distributor that fuses commerce and community, announced two key awards for their top suppliers at Electronica China 2012.
These awards recognise the outstanding work that TE Connectivity and Freescale Semiconductors have accomplished, in addition to their commitment to provide the best-in-class services and products to the element14 inventory portfolio for the engineering community in Asia Pacific.
Devashish Saxena, regional marketing director, element14 Asia-Pacific commented: “Much of the successes of our e-commerce site and the Community depends on the quality products, support services and engagement provided by our suppliers and we are committed to ensure this work is significantly recognised. We are delighted to acknowledge these two suppliers for their outstanding participation in our various marketing programmes that have appealed widely to customers across Asia.”
element14 and TE Connectivity's rapport and cooperation have grown steadily over the past years, resulting in element14 more than doubling their stock of TE Connectivity inventory in Asia Pacific. This extends element14’s high service proposition to serve customers with more breadth and depth of TE Connectivity’s products. element14 now offers over 28,000 of TE Connectivity’s products, with one of the widest selection of connectors, passives, relays, cable accessories and circuit protection in the region. This has contributed to TE Connectivity’s top performance in terms of e-commerce sales for FY12.
Freescale Semiconductors and element14 have forged a distinctive partnership in providing embedded processing solutions. In addition to dev kits, element14 also stocks a broad range of components from Freescale such as microprocessors and peripherals, microcontrollers, special function ICs and development tools.
The XL_STAR, a cobranded dev kit exclusive to element14 launched in May 2011, is a Multifunction System that allows development, download and debug of up to 64Kbytes of code using CodeWarrior, a professional IDE. Its popularity since its launch has resulted in element14 being the number one distributor selling the most dev kits and tools in Asia-Pacific. element14 is pleased to recognise Freescale with the ‘Leadership in Innovation for Dev Kits’ award.
