Call2Recycle names Canadian supplier for lithium battery recycling

TORONTO, CANADA: Call2Recycle, North America's leader in consumer battery recycling, has signed a new agreement engaging Toxco-Canada to process Lithium and Lithium Ion batteries for recycling. This new contract builds on the partnership that Toxco-Canada already has with Call2Recycle as a service provider of sorting batteries and cellular phones.

Our new agreement with Toxco-Canada advances our goals for environmental stewardship and supporting our local communities."

Toxco's facility in Trail, British Columbia is the only facility in the world that offers both primary and secondary (rechargeable) Lithium battery recycling. Call2Recycle's processing agreement ensures that Toxco-Canada will utilize its unique hydrometallurgical technology to produce lithium and cobalt raw materials. In the past year, Call2Recycle has collected more than 800,000 kilograms of batteries in Canada. The ongoing and highly productive partnership between Call2Recycle and Toxco-Canada positions both companies for continued service growth and environmental success.
