Digi-Key announces stock on Cirrus Logic CS42L73 low power mobile stereo codec

THIEF RIVER FALLS, USA: Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corp. announced that it has stock on the CS42L73 low-power mobile stereo codec from Cirrus Logic.

This new product is now available for purchase on Digi-Key’s global websites and will be featured in future print and online catalogs.

The CS42L73 is a highly integrated, low power, mobile audio distribution network that incorporates two stereo DACs and a stereo ADC with ground centered headphone, line, and speaker amplifiers for smartphone and portable applications.

Three synchronous bidirectional serial ports with integrated asynchronous sample rate converters (ASRCs) that accept a wide range of incoming audio sample rates can be used to feed the integrated digital mix engine, which is the heart of the CS42L73. The engine can simultaneously overlay and distribute digital audio from up to three external sources to any of its integrated audio nodes, giving complete routeability to the mobile system designer.

Applications for the CS42L73 include mobile phones and smartphones, mobile Internet devices, Bluetooth wireless headsets, portable audio/media players, digital voice recorders, portable navigation devices, automotive rear-seat entertainment, digital satellite radio, and portable game consoles.
