GoI receives proposals for mobile phones and electronic components

INDIA: The Government of India is said to have received two separate proposals worth Rs.1,000 crore for setting up units for manufacturing of mobile phones and electronic components used in automobiles.

As per a PTI report, the Appraisal Committee at Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) has approved these proposals, under the modified special incentive package scheme (M-SIPS).
