4DSP delivers high-performance A/D-D/A in stackable format with FMC144

AUSTIN, USA: 4DSP announces the release of a new analog-to-digital (A/D) / digital-to-analog (D/A) FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) card for multi-channel data acquisition and high-speed signal processing and recording.

The FMC144 is an FMC daughter card that provides four 16-bit A/D channels with speeds up to 370 MSPS and four 16-bit D/A channels up to 2.5 GSPS. It offers front panel analog I/O access and can be used in a conduction-cooled environment.

This module delivers high-bandwidth connectivity for calculation-heavy FPGA-based applications including beamforming and direction finding. The FMC144 is very well-suited for multi-antenna arrays used in the telecommunications industry where high performance is required.

The factory default configuration of the FMC144 is as a standard FMC module with a high-pin count (HPC) connector on the bottom of the card, but the card can also be configured as a stackable module with HPC connectors on both the top and bottom sides.

Stacking multiple FMCs enables higher channel density and creates opportunities to expand functionality while maintaining a small hardware footprint in applications where space is limited such as in aircraft instrumentation and wireless telecom equipment.
