Vulcan Flex Circuit receives MIL-P-50884 recertification

LONDONDERRY, USA: Vulcan Flex Circuit Corp. (VFCC), a division of Vulcan Electric Co., has recertified to fabricate flexible printed circuit boards (FPC) in accordance with the requirements of MIL-P-50884.

This particular certification addresses double-sided FPC - also known as Type 2 - and is the second in a series of recertifications to this specification that VFCC has recently obtained. In September of 2011 VFCC received Type 1 certification for single-sided FPC. Next month VFCC anticipates completion of its Type 4 recertification, covering multilayers and rigid-flex.

Al Wasserzug, director of Corporate Development, said: "An important part of our business strategy is to synchronize our processes and systems with the needs of the marketplace. These recertifications are an important part of maintaining that balance. Selecting fabrication specifications consistent with our customer's current and future needs ensures that we are well positioned to continue to support them effectively and efficiently. With each of these recertifications we are shoring up our commitment to our customers to provide the highest quality products and services to the applicable and pertinent requirements."

Vulcan Electric's flexible circuit division engineers and manufactures flexible circuits, rigid-flex circuits and circuit assemblies to various demanding industries, such as military/defense, aerospace, medical and complex industrial markets.
