Molex subsidiary Polymicro Technologies showcases capillary tubing

USA: Polymicro Technologies, a subsidiary of Molex Inc., will exhibit (booth 8) its capillary tubing and related products at the 37th International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography (ISCC), being held May 12-16 at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel, California.

Featuring the latest developments in column technology, detection systems and applications using GC, LC and CE modes, the ISCC provides an annual forum for scientists involved in chromatographic separations.

“Standard and custom Polymicro capillary tubing is precision-manufactured for chromatography applications in the scientific, industrial and medical sectors. Each customer’s unique specifications are thoroughly reviewed to determine the most cost-effective materials and the right design for optimal performance,” states Joe Macomber, separation science product manager, Polymicro Technologies. “We are especially excited about our recently launched 1/32'' OD capillary tubing for chromatography applications. With internal diameters ranging from 50 up to 500 µm, this tubing will be of key interest for scientists advancing sub-1 mm diameter chromatography column technologies.”

The Polymicro portfolio includes synthetic-fused silica, specialty natural quartz and doped fused silica capillary tubing, ranging from thin-walled polyimide-coated flexible-fused silica tubing to thick-walled fused silica or quartz tubes. Polymicro synthetic-fused silica capillary tubing is manufactured across a range of internal diameters from less than 1.0 to over 2000 µm, with standard products ranging from 2 to 700 µm.

Market-leading Polymicro flexible-fused silica capillary tubing is drawn from high purity synthetic silica and externally coated with polyimide, an abrasion-resistant protective polymer, to yield a strong and durable, yet flexible, tube.
