Avnet Electronics Marketing releases production-grade ZedBoard

USA: Avnet Electronics Marketing is now shipping the production-grade ZedBoard, the industry’s first development kit to offer production silicon of the Xilinx Inc. Zynq-7000 All Programmable (AP) SoC.

“With full production Zynq-7000 AP SoC silicon, design teams using ZedBoard for exploration and prototyping can be assured that they are getting the most accurate results possible,” said Jim Beneke, VP of global technical marketing for Avnet Electronics Marketing. “Our market has embraced ZedBoard for early design exploration; we look forward to providing our customers with full production silicon quality in our newest version.”

The production-grade ZedBoard offers more than 50 improvements over the original CES – or Commercial temp range, Engineering Sample – grade development kit, including: secure boot, faster SD card boot-up, system clock reset improvements, DDR functional updates, more accurate static power estimates, eliminating single and double bit errors, and a more reliable Ethernet TxDMA.
