MicroSense announces new Japanese distributor

JAPAN: MicroSense, LLC, a world leader in high performance, non-contact dimensional measurement and position sensing with capacitive sensors, today announced that it has signed an international distribution agreement with Japan Laser Corp. (JLC), headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

MicroSense has a large installed base in Japan, since its capacitive sensor products have been sold in Japan since the early 1980s. MicroSense capacitive sensors are used for precision position measurement by leading Japanese OEM customers in the semiconductor equipment, machine tool, hard disk drive and electronics manufacturing industries.

JLC becomes the exclusive distributor, providing applications engineering, sales and service for Japanese customers.

"We are very pleased to be joining forces with Japan Laser Corp. for exclusive distribution of our capacitive sensors and metrology modules in Japan," said Tom McNabb, president and COO of MicroSense.

"JLC is a very progressive organization; they are well matched with our technologies, company values and business philosophies. We look forward to building a strong relationship and having mutual success, in serving and expanding our Japanese customer base."
